Going Postal to Save the Postal Service

If you had a great job that paid really well, but your health insurance benefits from that job had to be paid in full for 75 years into the future, it wouldn’t matter how much you got paid because you would always be broke and in debt.

The same thing is happening to the United States Postal Service.

The USPS is NOT in trouble. Despite the doom and gloom trumpeted by the corporate media, the post office actually posted $700 million in operation profits in the last four years.

The USPS is certainly in a crisis, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the post office’s facilities, online commerce or employee salaries. It should come as a surprise to nobody that the USPS’s dire financial situation is a direct result of the callousness and shortsightedness of Congress. Luckily, there’s a way we can all help the post office generate more revenue while simultaneously bleeding the banks dry one envelope at a time. But I’ll get to that in a minute.

The reason the U.S. Postal Service is running at constant losses and having to shutter offices around the country is a direct result of the Postal Reform and Accountability Act (PRAA) of 2006. The bill was passed by the same lame duck Congress that got their asses handed to them in the 2006 mid-term elections, amidst a wave of populist anti-war anger that mobilized millions of voters to throw the war hawks out of Congress.

Save U.S. Postal Service from the 1%Rich Usurpers in designed sabotage of it. Hark!! The parasitical Usurpers use our Government as a monoply to amass unearned wealth. The Usurpers are DEPENDENT on corruption and legislative fiction by congressional hirelings that makes them welfare millionaires/billionaires. They are truly Government/Congressional-made Billionaires. They have yet to earn a single dollar of their immense wealth that isn’t tainted by their culture of greed and corruption. The 1%Rich, including their congressional and judicial hirelings, are an incorrigible criminal class that despise the U.S. Constitution as our Moral Compass and only Authority under our constitutional Republic. No real change will ever be realized by the 99% until this incorrigible criminal class of cut-throats are held accountable for their treason. The real job creators and real economic backbone of the United States are a Unionized Labor-Force, Middleclass, Small Business Owners and Seniors on Social Security, not the usurping 1%Rich Criminal Class of the United States.

So how do we help bleed the banks one envelope at a time? I know voting out each and every tea-republican in 2014 is one way, but how do we help accomplish the same objective with envelopes?

The video finally gets around to it at about 3:30. The idea is to send the postage-paid envelope inside back to the bank, along with any message you’d like to communicate. The bank doesn’t have to pay the postage unless the postage-paid envelope is mailed back. Doing so increases the USPS revenue and the bank pays for it. It’s a trivial expense to them, but maybe if we all do it, it may have some small impact.
